Hi! I have a Jensen TV Infrared Remote Control Extender (JDSC-IR100A) for sale. The manufacturer is Audiovox and their description of this device is "Converts any IR remote control to a thru-wall remote. Operates your home entertainment system from up to 100 feet away. Relays remote control signals to satellite receivers, VCR, home theater receivers, CD/DVD players, cable boxes, and more. Includes infrared emitter for when line of sight placement is not possible."
My husband bought this device because, with the design of our great room, there were obstacles (tables, plants, etc) between the TV and the sofa so we had to stand or move to uncomfortable positions just to turn on/off our TV or change channels. The signal just would not go through otherwise, blocked by obstacles. This device solved the problem completely; it worked like a charm on all the other electronics operated by the same remote as well. The specs say that it operates up to 100 feet away and I am not sure about that. My situation was about 50 feet away.
I live in a small condo now and everything is very close so I no longer need an extender for my remote.
I have the original manual for this product which shows you how to set it up to best advantage. We paid $49.95 for this product. I am asking $20.
If you are interested in purchasing this TV remote control extender, please respond to this ad via e-mail and name a day/time that is convenient for you to come over and pick them up. Or I can mail it to you via CanadaPost/e-Transfer if you are willing to pay the shipping. (Do not give me your phone number: I cannot call or text.) Thanks!
